No chandeliers

I took this photo while taking a walk in my friend's neighborhoold. This is Wah Fu Estate, a government-built public housing estate in the Southern district. These households are not likely to be decorated with chandeliers but I think collectively, their lights form a kind of chandelier-like glamor against the clear sky of the evening. You can also see Wah Fu Estate in this previous post.
Link: don't miss this photo story by BBC on Wah Fu with very good photos (thanks Anonymous!)

A rough uncut diamond. It's inhibitants: sparks of a jewel, full of potential...ready to burst out when given a chance. I like the sparkles against the black sky.

Great photo Lisi,
I've always loved night photos and for some reason pictures of high-rise apartments a well. This is one of my favorites.

Is this the same housing project that BBC did a story on a while back (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/picture_gallery/06/asia_pac_high_density_living_in_hong_kong/html/1.stm) ?

its really amazing. It looks like people are using so strong lights like flesh at home:)

w, how poetic and true, the estate was built in the 60s/70s and a lot of the successful people in HK are known to have lived there; some consider the estate a miniature of HK's progress in the past decades.

Olivier, oui, c'est vrai :-)

Jing, I'm sure you'll get even better shots some day...Shanghai is dazzling
