...you can see the beautiful Lamma Island with the three chimneys of a power plant. The typhoon which passed by HK last week might have cleared the polluted air so we can actually see beyond the island......if you travel past the island and all the way southward, you will reach the South China Sea and then Malaysia. I took this photo yesterday around 6:30 pm at the Southern district, the building on the left is a private apartment building, while those near the sea are government public housing. Hi Lisi
Lovely sky. Imagine living in the top floor of the building on the left when the lift doesn't work
ã
HI lisi - are you photographing this from a building or is this the view from your room? Ir looks very nice - esp. during that time of the evening.
ã
Do you normally have a lot of smog in Hong Kong? We have lots of mountains her in southern California but they're not always very clear or visible.
ã
beautiful sky!! me ,hoping ours would be bright and blue as that!

ã
Beautiful sky Lisi! We have another storm heading our way...but hopefully not as strong as the last one :)
ã
can you see me waving at you? ;)
ã
Wonderful view from your spot. The air looks very fresh and clean.

Hi Bob, in fact I did live in this area though not the same building, 2nd floor from the top...the horror of a lift failure is not the walk up the 22 floors but the ultimate horror of being inside of the lift...it would have killed me instantly.
Kala, this apartment is on a hill and I used to live there.
Natalie, HK is smoggy, browse the April photos and you'll see.
Edwin, can you see I wave back at you?
Thanks for the footprints, I enjoy reading them...

Hi there,
I'm loving your blog. I used to live in Hong Kong and it's a wonderful reminder seeing all your photos.
However one of the reasons I left was that the pollution got so bad. This photo is how I have my best memories of HK - shame it's not like that most of the time these days.
ã
beautiful sky , hope it is clear always !
