Young at heart

About staying young at heart: while I bothered the ants with my camera (see this photo), my dad played with my nephews. The kids (or little rascals) had been begging him the whole afternoon so finally my dad agreed to help them make a fire with some pine cones they had gathered :-). Well, they used the barbeque pit but we really didn't need that fire. Sshhhh, don't tell them about this post...Have a good weekend!

This photo is for Lavender Lady who's enjoying her grandma stage in Sequim :-) and Meg in Nelson who can never be too old to stay young at heart!!

Nephews? How fun. I think my parents are enjoying being grandparents far too much commpared to 'working hard' at being good parents. Dad's a changed person - and so is my little sister, now the mom! I'm starting to think it's a kind of a luxury not to have to change by not having kids, but then could it be seen as my never having quite fully 'grown up' according to my chronological age? Hey, Lisi, maybe I don't have to return to childhood because I never quite exited it? Gosh, you're challenging me!

"Young At Heart" - very meaningful words. If everyone remembers and put them to use often, high blood pressure will be a thing of the past.

What I like about this photo Lisi is that you can feel the excitement in both of the children. And you know, they seem the age that they will remember and treasure that time together with your father. Bon weekend!
