So Mid-Autumn Festival has passed and it was a great one this year with lots of gathering plus my first time to the Fire Dragon Dance (see yesterday's photo). There were numerous celebrations in the city ranging from large scale ones taking up the whole Victoria Park attended by tens of thousands of people, to smaller scale ones like this neighborhood party in a carpark with karaoke, games and lucky draw. To end the Festival series and to answer Jazzy's question earlier, here's another photo of mooncake and lanterns.

I love the angle and the criss-crossing strings of lanterns are so beautiful.

We start our fall festivals late in October and early in November. It is a pleasant time of year ... I like the perspective on this photo. The children in the right bottom corner are especially interesting.

Mimmu and Lachezar, welcome to HKDP and thank you for your compliments.
Mike C, that was what attracted me to take this photo in the first place, they are like necklaces with sparkling stones :-)
Ed, right on, yes lantern is "tangloong" in Cantonese
Thanks everyone for dropping by these days...until next Mid-Autumn Festival, we'll have to put the tangloongs away now...
