Autumn bride

Yesterday was a public holiday so this couple pretty much had the whole Lok Yew Hall (of the University of HK) to themselves. The weather was nice and sunny so I bet they had got some really nice photos. Actually, so did I.

Just for a bit of entertainment I searched online and found these quotations to go with this post. No, they do not necessarily represent my views :-)

"The roses, the lovely notes, the dining and dancing are all welcome and splendid. But when the Godiva is gone, the gift of real love is having someone who'll go the distance with you. Someone who, when the wedding day limo breaks down, is willing to share a seat on the bus." Oprah Winfrey

The music at a wedding procession always reminds me of the music of soldiers going into battle. Heinrich Heine

WEDDING, n. A ceremony at which two persons undertake to become one, one undertakes to become nothing, and nothing undertakes to become supportable. Ambrose Bierce

There are three rings involved with marriage. The engagement ring, the wedding ring, and the suffering. Woody Allen

Kris, your mentioning of Carrie reminds me of Ally Mcbeal...she must have said one of the saddest things about relationship...something about the few times she felt the loneliest in her life, there were actually somebody by her side. That must be before Ally met Robert Downey Jr...;p

w, that's a beautiful courtyard, isn't it. They were probably just taking photos, it was not the actual wedding.

Oh, Lisi, it is terrific. I have subscribed your blog for a week and I like this picture the most. I have never seen the Main Building in this perspective. It's simply like a fairyland.

How can you take the picture in black and white but except the bride?

Great composition. I like that fountain perfectly matching the bride's dress. Beautiful set and image, Lisi.

You're really playing with manipulating the colors, aren't you? Great work.

Crikey!

There's a girl in there!

Nice use of Photoshop Lisi, the muted grayscale tones married to the colouring of the bride really help bring the eye to her.

You left this post as "Rubbish" in the Tuesday Challenge, how come? You weren't jilted by the groom were you? *grin* Or am I missing something here...?

Lovely overhead shot, by the way! It's just NOT rubbish.
