While bamboos are used for scaffolding, it is in fact a versatile plant which can be used for making furniture, chopsticks and stationery. I took this photo earlier at a new apartment building when workers were putting in some bamboo plants for landscaping. I guess these bamboos are more like what we usually see. But I guess this guy who supervised the work was not really interested in bamboos. Have a good weekend everybody!

Yes bamboo is a very versatile plant. Here in the Philippines it is used in so many more ways, like for furnitures, and other stuff. :)

I guess for the workers, they must work with bamboo everyday so they take it for granted? We have some bamboos growing here and there in the islands too but probably not as much as in Hong Kong =)
