Victoria Harbor


So we are on the ferry and half way across the harbor! Like I mentioned the ferries are green and white (click here) but I saw this one-of-its-kind ferry which uses the theme of HK's overseas promotion campaign. In the background is the waterfront of Wanchai district (of HK island), the wing-like structure is the HK Exhibition and Convention Centre. And since the ferry ride is so popular among tourists, this photo is also a very "touristy" one.

colorful ferry! I wanted to ride the old types ( dont know what its called) of boat but didnt have a chance when I visited HK many years ago. I got to have dinner at the huge boat that was also a restaurant though. I forgot the name. Hope you post a photo of that floating restaurant someday!

midnitebara: the old kind of boat you were referring to, is it called junk? And the restaurant boat, it's called Jumbo and it was anchored at Aberdeen... not sure if it's still around or is it in Philippines.

ask me a dozen times and I will still vote for the classic green and white ferry~
