A contrast of old and new HK. I took this in SoHo (south of Hollywood Road), an interesting neighbourhood mixing old residential buildings and trendy upmarket eateries. The old vendor is selling some kind of traditional Chinese snacks, while behind him is the popular Staunton's Cafe (on Staunton Street) which offers my favorite all-day breakfast.

This reminds me of Vancouver's Chinatown. I don't go as often because it so much easier to shop and park in Richmond, but not the same feel. You will be pleased to hear that Chinatown and Japantown are getting facelifts in time for the Olympics. Also, Bob Rennie is moving his office to Pender St.
