Let's step back a little to look at the building in yesterday's photo.
It is really a matter of perspective of how we see things and how we judge them beauty or beast. I never expected the old building would come out nicely in photo and only took one shot of it. Like some city photo bloggers have noted, we keep discovering new things in our cities that we didn't see before. These statues stood outside of an antique store waiting to be picked up.Labels: city, Hong Kong |

Hi Lisi,
Nice shot and comment. What the photgrapher chooses to include/exclude in a picture (or does so or instinctively) to capture an infinitesimal moment in time and space make the whole process really interesting.
Nice picture. Who are they Xian warriors or 3 wisemen from the Orient?
ã
P.S.Very glad you brought up the subject of beauty.
ã
I'm with Bob on this, this picture so makes me want to be there.
ã
When U say "waiting to be picked up", do U mean "waiting to be bought"?
ã
very beautiful...sometimes we really judge too quickly!
ã
Very good comment as always.
ã
Love this picture. It has everything - old and new, light and dark, congestion and space.
So smart to move back and get a different vista on yesterday's building.

Great photo, thanks for giving us the wide angle view! Those fellows with
the stone faces would look really cool in my living room! :)
ã
Thank you all for the nice comments, they mean a lot to me...
Bob -- nonono, they are not the 3 wise men, they are the 4 wise men, actually they look like scholars to me, maybe one of them is Conficius who gave the title of this post: Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.
Amande -- I'm not sure, but they were there only for a short time only.

Another angle of the "Buddha"

I didn't see the shy one hiding round the corner
